Regional factors enabling manufacturing reshoring strategies: A case study perspective

Firms’ reshoring strategies have recently sparked academic and policy interest due to their contribution rebalancing advanced economies. In line with the ongoing debate by examining journey of a company based in West Midlands region UK, this work illustrates adoption manufacturing strategy response changing competitive environment. Further, utilizing mixture primary secondary data, not only shows how regional dynamics are pivotal for attracting but also characteristics can change narrative on from national focus. By doing so, demonstrates implementation industrial policies facilitate multiplier effect value increasing attractiveness hosting strategy.
